Dialbook Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 September 2026
One-sentence summary
Dialbook does not collect, transmit or store any of your data outside your iPhone.
Who we are
Dialbook is developed by Igor Souza, an independent developer (a natural person). There is no company behind the app: the person responsible for Dialbook, and the data controller, is that individual.
Contact: igorfsz@icloud.com.
What data the app handles
You create and keep in Dialbook: client names, phone numbers, emails, companies, addresses, birthdays, text and voice notes, deals, amounts, tasks, and the history of the contacts you log.
This data stays only on your device, in an encrypted database. The encryption key is generated on the iPhone itself and stored in the iOS Keychain; it never leaves the device and we have no access to it.
What data we collect
None.
Dialbook has no user account, no server, no analytics, no trackers, no ads, and shares no data with third parties. There is no way for us to collect your data, because there is nowhere for it to be sent.
That is why Dialbook's App Store privacy label is "Data Not Collected".
What leaves the device, and only when you ask
Three actions take information out of Dialbook. All of them start with a tap of yours:
- Calling, texting or emailing: iOS opens the Phone, Messages or Mail app with the number or address you chose. From there, your carrier and that app handle the call or message under their own policies.
- Opening WhatsApp: Dialbook opens a
wa.melink with the client's number. WhatsApp is a third-party service with its own policy. Dialbook does not send messages and does not read your conversations. - Exporting a backup or CSV: the file is created on your device and handed to the iOS share sheet. Where it goes — Files, AirDrop, email, a cloud service of yours — is your decision. The backup is encrypted with a password you set and that we cannot recover.
Permissions the app asks for, and why
| Permission | When it is asked | What for |
|---|---|---|
| Notifications | After your first follow-up | To alert you at the time you set |
| Microphone | When you tap "Voice note" | To record the note; the file stays on the device |
| Face ID / Touch ID | When you turn on the app lock in Settings | To unlock Dialbook |
| Contacts | When you choose "Import from contacts" | To copy only the contacts you select |
Declining any of them does not block the rest of the app.
What we never do
- We do not read your WhatsApp, SMS, email or call history. iOS does not grant apps that access, and Dialbook does not ask for it.
- We do not access your address book without you picking contacts, one by one.
- We have no remote access to your data, not even for support.
Children
Dialbook is a work tool, with no content aimed at children, and it collects no data from anyone.
Your rights (GDPR, CCPA, LGPD)
Since we process none of your personal data on any server of ours, there is nothing to request from us in order to access, correct or delete it. You have direct and complete control:
- Access and correct: inside the app, at any time.
- Export: Settings → Export backup, or export CSV.
- Delete: delete a client (it goes to the trash, with 30 days to restore) or Settings → Erase everything, which removes the content from the device irreversibly.
- Delete by removing the app: uninstalling Dialbook removes the database and the Keychain key.
If you exported a backup to some service, that file falls under the policy of the service you chose.
Purchases
The Dialbook Pro subscription is processed by Apple. We neither receive nor store payment data. What the app keeps is the fact that a valid subscription exists, on the device itself.
Changes to this policy
If Dialbook ever starts handling data differently, this policy will be updated before that change ships, and the date at the top will change.
